multiplying matrices

                                                        1) Write a dimension Statement
2) Row x column and Sum x products
3) Repeat until complete

For this picture, you would have to repeat this process for the 2nd row x 4th column

Matrices

This is a 2x2 matrix. It has 2 rows that go side to side. 2 columns that go side to side.

This is a 3x2 Matrix. It has 3 rows and 2 columns

This is a 3x3 matrix. 3 rows by 2 columns

This is a special kind of matrix. It is called an Identity Matrix. It is where the other matices originate from.

Error Analysis

For this particular problem the value of x is going up by 5, so the slope should be 10/5 or 2 and not 10/1. By inserting the points, the final equation should be solved. With this answer, y is not equal to 9+10x.

In order for a particular point to be the solution to a system, it has to solve both equations. So in this case (1,-2) solves the first equation, but not the second equation of the system.

For problem #22 the shading is correct, but the line should be a dotted line, not a soild line because it was not less than or equal to it was just less than. For problem #23 the solid line is correct, but the shading should be above the line, not below it.

For problem #20 the shading is correct, but the line should be a dotted line and not a solid line. For problem #21 the sloid line is correct, but the shading should be below the line, not above it.

Absolute Value Functions

the parent function is y=a|x-h|+k
The function is y=|x-0|+2
you know this because the graph started at (0,0) and was not moved left or right so H has to be 0.
its slope is 1 so you do not have to put the one for the a value.
but the graph was moved up 2 from its original position so the K value has to be 2.

Systems of inequations

this is an Independent function. You know this is an Independent function because they have ONE point at which they intersect.
